Catalysis (CAT)

Supramolecular catalysis is an important discipline combining catalysis and supramolecular chemistry that has grown exponentially. To succeed in this area, a deep knowledge of supramolecular interactions and coordination chemistry is needed in order to enhance reaction rates and selectivity. Moreover, the experience on the use of molecular cages or elaborated host-guest chemistry is crucial to succeed in supramolecular catalysis. To face this challenge, the SUPRAMAT network possesses an excellent combination of groups with expertise in noncovalent interactions, synthesis of macrocycles and cages, and preparation of gels and polymers to be used as catalysts.
