
Research
We develop luminescent systems, constituted mainly by organometallic molecules (in general Au and Pt) and we analyze their potential aggregation process in different environments and the effect of this aggregation on their resulting luminescence and photophysical pathways).
In the recent years, we are doing great efforts to work with water-soluble systems or how aqueous media plays a direct role on the different aggregation and luminescent patterns.
Some research is also being developed in the frontier between supramolecular chemistry and nanomaterials by the synthesis of hybrid systems constituted by the assemblies between nanoparticles and organometallic supramolecular aggregates.
Applications of all of the systems as highly luminescent materials, sensors, solvatochromism, hydrogen production, nanomaterials and biological properties are under study.
